      Indian auto maker is mulling to expand its presence in global markets; the company is already exporting its passenger and commercial vehicles to various international markets including Russia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Besides these markets, the auto maker has also started shipping its vehicle to emerging markets like Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Philippines.Before venturing into the Philippines market, the company had also displayed its vehicles;TataVista,TataManza,TataAria,TataIndicaandTataIndigo at the Algeria Motor Show. The company also proclaimed its entry plans at the event which will be materialized in coming time.

      Philippines is the latest market whereTatahas commenced exporting vehicles. The announcement was made at the Manila International Auto Show, where the company displayedTataVista,Manza,Indicaand Indigo range among the passenger vehicles. According to latest report, the company will be exporting 10 more models from its stable to Philippines by the end of this year.Among the new models that could be introduced in Philippines, Tata’s popular SUV, SafariStormeDICORand Aria crossover are included. Upcoming vehicles fromTata, Zest compact sedan and Bolt hatchback can also be made available in Philippines after their launch in the domestic market. However, Tata’s petite affordable hatchback,Nanowill not be exported to the Philippines automotive market as it is not available in left hand drive configuration.

      Among the commercial vehicles,Tatalaunched Ace equipped with Nano’s engine, the twin cylinder 624 cc petrolpowertrainis capable of generating a maximum power and torque output of 38 hp and 51Nm, the engine enables the vehicle to return a decent fuel economy of 15kmsin a litre.

      Tata’s distributor in Philippines is thePilipinasTAJAutogroup, sources close to development reveal that two showrooms have already been opened which will be increased to 8 or 9 by the time this year ends.
