Japanese bike maker Suzuki has set a high bar for its top performing bike Gixxer in terms of sales in the Indian market. According to reports, the firm is willing to bank upon the success of naked Gixxer by raking up sales of Gixxer SF bike, which was launched recently at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 83,889. The first Gixxer motorcycle excelled in all aspects; be it sales, customer response or critics reviews.

Several new additions have been made by Suzuki while designing Gixxer SF in order to give it added appeal. One of the highlights of this bike is aerodynamic full-fairing that enhances the touring abilities and its aesthetic appeal as well. The Suzuki Gixxer SF is being marketed by the firm as a bike for those who are looking for a daily-commuting two-wheeler that can also be used as a tourer. Mechanically, it features the same downtube frame as its sibling and runs on a single-cylinder engine, which has a displacement of 155 cc. This bike is capable of delivering a power level of 14.6 BHP along with peak torque of 14 N.

In the recent past, Suzuki has been performing really well in the Indian market and managed to sell around 3.74 lakh units in the last fiscal year. Not only this, the Japanese firm is planning to take this to a higher level by increasing sales to five lakh units in the current fiscal. Suzuki’s naked Gixxer is just 5000 units away from clocking 50,000 units in the Indian market, which is quite commendable. Given the fact that Suzuki Gixxer has been present in the market only for seven months, reaching 1 lakh units does not seem farfetched.
