      Driving a special edition to work everyday or heading out to family function truly makes you feel special in every regard. The Amaze was the first sedan in India from Honda to get a diesel engine. The car-maker has now come up with an 'Anniversary Edition' to mark a special feat of selling over 80,000 cars in just under a year since its launch. The Vento sedan from Volkswagen has also been a popular choice among the local population. To mark its goodwill with the local market, the German car-maker has ushered in a limited edition of the Vento sedan rechristened as 'Vento Preferred'.

      The Vento Preferred sedan shall be available in petrol as well as diesel variant and is stated to be based on the mid-level Comfortline trim. Under the hood, the Vento Preferred edition shall be powered by 1.6 Liter petrol as well as a 1.6 Liter diesel engine that is mated to five-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine is capable of generating a power of about 103 Bhp with 250 Nm of torque output, whereas the petrol version generates about 103 Bhp of power with a top torque output of about 153 Nm.

      On the exterior front, the Vento Preferred sedan gets sleek trunk spoiler, door rub-rails, door sill garnish, chrome window embellishment and stylish side door visors. The stylish exterior is well complimented with the seven-spoken alloys. The interiors look lively and carry an up market feel. Volkswagen has also payed much attention to delivering better comfort and ample space to the occupants. The sedan gets a windshield mounted satellite navigation unit that additionally functions as a display for a reversing camera.

      The new Anniversary Edition of Amaze sedan is available in VX and S trims in both Petrol as well as Diesel engine options. The Petrol version is powered by 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine that generates a maximum power output of about 88 Ps at 6,000 RPM and 109 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The Diesel version is powered by 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine that generates about 100 Ps of power at 3600 Rpm and 200 Nm of torque output. As per ARAI certification, the diesel version delivers about 25.8 kmpl.

      The sedan shall sport some cosmetic upgrades like front under-spoiler, side under-spoiler, rear under-spoiler, trunk spoiler along with door visors and exhaust pipe finisher on the exteriors front. Whereas, for the interiors, the sedan shall be blessed with new upmarket upholstery that perfectly complements the wooden finish panel on the dashboard. Moreover, the ‘Anniversary edition’ emblem lends that distinctive identity to this new special edition sedan.

      The new variants from the 'Anniversary edition' shall be available for just about an additional cost of Rs. 71,861 over the existing version. The German car-maker Volkswagen has launched the 'Vento Preferred' at an attractive price tag of Rs. 10.74 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Mumbai).
