Skoda India will launch updated version of Yeti crossover in domestic market tomorrow. Skoda will roll out the tweaked Yeti in only in the high end ‘Elegance’ variant in both 4x2 and 4x4 versions. Being a mild upgrade, the vehicle has received only a handful of cosmetic modifications. Mechanically nothing has been changed and it remains the same.
External modifications include reworked bumpers, LED tail lights, bi-xenon head lamps, alloy wheels sporting a new design, new housing for the wing mirrors and various colour options for the roof. A couple changes have also been made inside the cabin such as a new steering wheel that resembles with the one equipped in new Octavia.
Power will come from the 2.0 litre TDI engine that will be made available in two states of tune- 108.5 Bhp and 138 Bhp. The 108.5 Bhp variant will be housed in the 4x2 version mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 138 Bhp variant will be employed in the 4x4 version and will be synchronized to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Salient features expected to be equipped in new Yeti crossover include keyless entry, climate control, leather wrapped seats and steering wheel, audio system with eight speakers and Electrically-foldable wing mirrors among others. Other preeminent equipments include Anti Lock Braking system with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, tyre pressure monitors, ESP and hill hold. Pricing details will be revealed tomorrow at the launch event.
