Skoda Octavia RS to be unveiled at Goodwood Festival this July

Skoda Auto, the renowned Czech multinational auto maker and subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, has revealed the official teaser images of its 2013 Octavia RS model on its website. The company has announced that it will unveil the Skoda Octavia RS at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will be held in Sussex, England between July 11 and July 14, 2013. The model showcase will be a part of the 'Festival of Speed Moving Motorshow.'

At present, Skoda Auto India is working towards bringing its new Octavia executive sedan in the domestic car market, sometime during the latter half of 2013 calendar year. The RS version is a special sports edition of Octavia, which usually is the company's fastest model in its product portfolio. Therefore, the yet-to-be unveiled high performance Octavia RS model is attracting a great deal of interest among the global auto industry and car enthusiasts.

As per reports, the 2013 Skoda Octavia RS model is going to be faster, longer and lighter than its predecessor. Experts feel that the worldwide performance oriented car enthusiasts are in for a treat, since the upcoming RS trim will be the quickest production ready Skoda Octavia till date. The Octavia RS is pegged as Skoda Auto's most cutting edge and technologically brilliant design, which also boasts off an outstanding value-for-money quotient.

Speaking his mind on the yet-to-be launched Skoda Octavia RS model, Winfried Vahland, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Skoda Auto, was quoted as saying, “The Skoda Octavia is the heart of our brand, and the RS is the highlight of the model line.
