Skoda India recently unveiled the new Zeal edition models in Tamil Nadu. The Zeal Edition, incidentally, will be made available for Rapid, Yeti, Octavia and Superb models. Black interiors with black Alcantara leather seats, black door trims and black dashboard has been added in the Superb, Yeti and Octavia, in order to follow the league of Zeal package. The Rapid Zeal edition features Alcantara seats and leatherette, a modern navigation device with rear camera, observation mirror, rear Parktronics and branded door mats.
Expressing his views on this development, Mahesh Tiwari, Regional Sales Head South and West of Skoda Auto, India said, “The Zeal Edition is developed based on computer feedback and we are very pleased to extend this offer across the entire Skoda model range. Tamil Nadu is an important market for us and we have always been humbled by the encouraging response from our customers in this state. Skoda India along with its dealer partners will focus on improving the ownership experience with the brand.”
On similar lines, the Dealer Principal of Gurudev Motors, Paras Vaid was quoted as saying, “Skoda products carry a premium appeal and are recognized for its superior build quality and technology. With the Zeal addition, Skoda has strengthened the model range to ensure the customer benefits from additional features and more trims allowing customers to choose from a wider selection of products.”
The price (ex-showroom, Chennai) of the Zeal edition models have been slated as follows:
- Rapid 1.6 MPI Rs.7.68 lakhs
- Octavia 1.4 TSI Rs.16.74 lakhs
- Yeti 4x2 2.0 TDI Rs.20.66 lakhs
- Superb 1.8 TSI Rs.22.23 lakhs
