      Skoda launches new Big Fat Indian Wedding campaign for Skoda Rapid

      In a bid to give its recently launched mid-size sedan Skoda Rapid a sales booster, the Indian unit of the Czech Republic based car maker Skoda has launched an all new exciting campaign - ‘Big Fat Indian Wedding’. The company has launched a new TV commercial, in which it has Encapsulated Skoda Rapid’s being simply clever by matching the needs and requirements of the Indian families.

      Speaking at the launch of this new campaign, Thomas Kuehl, Brand Head, Skoda Auto India and Member of the Board – Sales & Marketing, said, “At Skoda we believe that a car is much more than a mere product. It is an extension of an individual and this insight has helped us arrive at the positioning ‘Built to be Thoughtful’. We used the backdrop of an Indian wedding for the campaign to demonstrate the emotional connect between a family and a car.

      While further elaborating the company’s strategy behind this new campaign for Rapid sedan, he added that the Skoda Rapid embodies this emotional connect with its ‘Simply Clever’ solutions and. As the occasion of wedding is a grand occasion with being valuable and emotional, it is a perfect fit to partake in the celebrations with the Skoda Rapid, Family Car of the year 2011, he added.
