It seems that after bagging the role of a car thief in the upcoming movie 'Rover', Twilight star Robert Pattinson is all set to leave his famous character of Edward Cullen behind. By taking on more challenging roles in 2011, it seems that the actor in Robert Pattinson wants to come out of its acting shell to break the monotony and do something new. With his new role choices from 'Bel Ami' and 'Cosmopolis', it would be interesting to see how the actor expands his horizon.

According to leading entertainment news website Variety, negotiations for the lead roles in 'Rover' are currently going on with Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce. The movie is a thriller by film maker David Michod, who has earned laurels for his 'Animal Kingdom'. There are no details as to when the film will go on floor, but news is that Guy Pearce is playing the role of a man whose car is stolen by a group of thieves in the film, one of them being Robert Pattinson's character Reynolds. Pearce's character seeks revenge on the group across the Australian Outback. Top Showbiz reported that the script is written by David Michod based on a brainwave which struck him and actor Joel Edgerton.

Mission: Blacklist, a movie that features Eric Maddox, an interrogator who leads the capture of former Iraqi dictator and the hunt for Saddam Hussein, also features Robert Pattinson. Next on the block are 'Cosmopolis', the passionate period drama 'Bel Ami' and the next movie in Twilight series 'Breaking Dawn - Part Two', in which he will appear as the iconic Edward Cullen for one last time. In order to promote the 'Cosmopolis' by David Cronenberg, he will be travelling to Cannes Film Festival.

Apparently, Robert Pattinson is not the only one with a chock-a-block schedule. Guy Pearce too has had a tight schedule over the past few months, with appearances in the promos of 'Promotheus' and 'Lawless'. Though there is no clue as to his role and character in 'Iron Man 3', he is also in talks with the representatives of the franchise to appear in the upcoming instalment of the series'. 'Prometheus' is all set to be released on 8th June and David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis' will roll out in the later part of 2012.
