The France based automaker Renault has showcased its latest flagship model Talisman at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show that will make a strategic entry exclusively for the Chinese auto market. The mid-sized sedan has been designed aptly for the young businessmen who are in the pursuit of seeking effective blend of luxury with money value.
Renault Talisman is set to be produced at the production plant of Renault Samsung Motors located in Korea and will be exported to China in the month of June this year with a starting price of 38,652 Euros. Talisman is said to be a rendition of the Renault Samsung SM7 that is currently scoring high sales volume in the diversely potential market of China.
Mr. Carlos Ghosn, CEO – Renault, said during the press release, "The launch of Renault's flagship – Talisman in China underlines the importance Renault attaches to the Chinese market and our confidence in growth here."
The automaker is offering the new sedan in two engine options working in tandem with the six-speed automatic transmissions - 2.5L V6 engine delivering a peak output of 190 PS and 243 Nm torque and 3.5L V6 engine outpouring a peak power of 258 PS and a peak torque of 330 Nm.
The French car maker has witnessed exponential rise in demand for its models with the 65 percent hike in the sales volume attained in the year 2011. With the launch of Talisman, the company is aiming to achieve multi-fold surge in its sales with a much fierce poise in the Chinese market and is targeting to expand its dealer network from 80 at present to 170 by 2014.
