The Verna sedan from Hyundai has been one among the most trendiest sedan in the country. The car not just carries the visual charm but is also loaded with interesting set of features that make it a proud possession. Recently, the Korean car-maker has discontinued six of Verna’s variants which include three petrol and three diesel trims, to make way for the newer Verna GL.

The newly introduced Hyundai Verna GL is powered by a 1.4 litre VTVT motor that generates a max power output of about 105 Bhp with a top torque of about 138 Nm. Whereas, the Diesel variant gets a 1.4 litre CRDI power-train that produces a maximum power of about 89 Bhp with 224 Nm of peak torque. The engine in the Petrol as well as the Diesel variants are mated to a five speed manual gearbox and six speed transmission respectively.

News has been doing rounds that the internationally launched Solaris may be launched as the new Verna in India sometime next year. The international version is powered by the existing 1.4 Liter and 1.6 Liter petrol engines. The 1.6 Liter variant is also available in automatic transmission apart from the regular five-speed manual transmission.

The recently launched Verna GL sports two-piece bezel design headlamps with freshly added LED positioning lamps that provide maximum luminance during nighttime driving. The sedan sports fine fog lamps that blends with the wide and bold grill. The flowing design of the bonnet showcases the powerful machine under the hood. The rear combination lamps at the rear leaves a light trail for better visibility to following traffic.
