Auto Expo in January, the speculations of the launch of this SUV have been doing rounds in the Indian market. The new Safari Storme is expected to be placed in the price segment of Rs 12 to 16 lakh, where it will be taking on with the rivals like newly launched Mahindra XUV 500, Skoda Yeti and Mahindra Scorpio.
Besides a refined engine and improved specifications, the new Tata Safari Storme will come featured with a number of cosmetic changes at both exterior and interior fronts. The cosmetic changes at the exterior of this SUV is would be including new aerodynamic spoilers, new bigger front grille, projector headlamps, chrome tipped twin exhausts and many more.
On the other hand, the new feature interior feature list of Safari Storme would be including wide purposeful dashboard, climate control air conditioning, new sportier meter dials, dual trip meters, electronic switches, various storage compartments like cup holders, multimedia player etc.
The SUV will come powered by a 2.2 litre, 16 valve DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) diesel engine, which is capable of delivering a peak power of 140bhp at 4000rpm along with top torque of 320Nm at 1700rpm. The power-packed engine of the Safari Storme will come coupled with a five speed manual transmission.
