      When two high-end models from two leading names in the two-wheeler industry clash horns, there is bound to be some sort of a healthy rivalry between the two. Bajaj and KTM have launched a bike each in the 200 cc segment and made things more exciting and hot in the category of these bikes. Both the bikes have been developed keeping in mind the youth of the current generation. Impressive styling, high-end features and bold appearance have earned both the KTM RC 200 as well as Pulsar 200 NS some serious brownie points.

      Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 is powered by a 199.5 cc SOHC, 4 volt, liquid-cooled engine. Almost a similar engine has been provided in the KTM RC 200, as well. It uses a single cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, spark ignition engine with a net displacement of 199.50 cc. the impressive part about the KTM bike is that it uses a contactless, controlled and fully electronic ignition system with digital timing adjustment. Bajaj Pulsar is capable of producing a maximum power of 23.52 PS at 9500 rpm. When the maximum torque of 18.3 Nm is reached, the rpm count is lowered to 8000. On the other hand, the KTM RC 200 is capable of producing a maximum power of 25 bhp. With a maximum torque output of 19.2 Nm, this bike is surely he better bet for those who are looking for core power. The power is transferred to the wheels with the help of a six-speed, claw-shifted gearbox.

      The Pulsar has been provided with a telescopic front fork suspension with antifriction technology for better comfort while riding. On the rear, it has a Nitrox mono shock absorber with piggy back gas canister, which is a sure bet to make the most challenging roads a smooth affair. On the flip side of things, KTM RC 200 is provided with WP suspension on both the rear and front wheels to make it a pleasant experience for riders.

      With dashing looks, specifications that are sufficient for all riders and an aggressive pricing, the race has just begun for RC 200 and Pulsar 200 NS. Time will only tell which model gets the fans satisfied more with its performance.
