Volkswagen is out with new variants of its existing models and new car models to offer better value for money to its customers and adhere to the eco-friendly theme of the new world. Two new versions of its SUV Touareg - Volkswagen Touareg BlueMotion and BlueMotion SE are out in the market. The new modifications in the car have brought down CO2 emissions from 244g/km to 219g/km and the fuel economy is improved from 12.92 kmpl to 14.62kmpl. Volkswagen has calculated that at the current fuel prices buyers will save approximately adding 20% per tank fill up.
VW is also already to produce a brand new range of mid-sized sports sedan called VW Bluesport. This will be another diesel car which will be more eco-friendly that will deliver 27.63kmpl whilst boasting performance figures of a top speed of 225kmph.It was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January this year but any official date for the start of its production has not been revealed so far.
Yet another model is VW Scirocco that is based on existing VW GTi and is longer and wider. It carries 2.0 litre TSI four cylinder engine with 6-speed manual or 6-speed DSG gearbox. It is a good looking car which benefits access to great engines and is solidly built.
