Mahindra and Mahindra has snapped its ties with French partner Renault and has decided to market its entry level sedan Mahindra Logan under its own umbrella. The company will continue to use Renault’s platform to manufacture the car but will now introduce a new variant with new branding and positioning strategy in the Indian market.
Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to introduce a new variant of Logan in next 18 months that will be smaller, compact and less than 4 meters in length. The new model will be ready in next 18 months for the Indian market and will be priced below Rs. 4-5 lakh.
