Bajaj Auto, the homegrown two-wheeler maker, has announced that it will launch the new Pulsar range in the country on April 14, 2015. The company has recently launched the much-awaited Pulsar 200 RS (Racing Sport), which is a fully faired affordable sport bike.

It is speculated that Bajaj Auto could launch the Pulsar 200 AS (Adventure Sport) or the Pulsar 150NS and 150 AS. All three bikes have been spotted several times during its test rounds on Indian roads. The 200 Adventure Sport is basically a semi-faired version of the naked sibling. On the other hand, the 150cc bikes are based on an-all new perimeter frame.

The 200 AS has recently been spotted at Bajaj's dealership, indicating that the bike could be launched on April 14. It is powered by the same liquid-cooled 199.5cc single-cylinder engine that also powers the 200NS and 200RS. This engine churns out 23.52PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. Power is transferred to roads via a six-speed gearbox. It is equipped with an attractive half-fairing with addition features, 'Adventure Sport' decal, a projector headlamp and alloy wheels.

The Pulsar 150 Active Sport is likely to get a 150 DTS-i engine that churns out a maximum power output of 17PS at 9000rpm and a peak torque of 13Nm at 7500rpm. This engine will be paired to a five-speed gearbox, with shifting in the one-down, four-up pattern.
