Hindustan Motors has introduced Mitsubishi Evo X model for Indian customers in Mumbai at Autocar Performance Show. The model is priced at Rs. 49.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and has a 2,000 cc turbo-charged four-cylinder engine which produces 280 bhp @ 6500 rpm. This price tag is high because of the 110% duty levied on the completely built unit (CBU) automobile imported from abroad. The model comes as Mitsubishi’s strategy to boost its presence in the Indian market with newer models with better performance.

Lancer Evo X features a 6 speed twin clutch manual transmission with an all wheel drive. It has high performance Brembo disk brakes at both front and rear. On safety side it has ABS with EBD. The top speed has been electronically limited to 180 kmph.
