Mercedes Benz India, the Indian subsidiary of the leading Germany based luxury car maker, will be launching its popular model SLS AMG Roadster at the Delhi International Auto Expo in the month of January 2012. The launch of new SLS AMG Roadster will further strengthen the company’s portfolio in the Indian auto market.
Speaking to the reporters in Mumbai, Mr. Peter Honegg, Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Our showcase at the Auto-Expo this year will be impressive both in terms of presentation and display vehicles. There will be several show-stoppers including the launch of the stunning SLS AMG Roadster."
While further elaborating the company’s planned platform at the Delhi International Auto Expo, Mr. Honegg said, "There will be a lounge area to offer an exclusive experience, special accessory outlets besides opportunities to offer networking possibilities for patrons and representatives,"
Besides the SLS AMG Roadster, the company will be showcasing about 9 of its other portfolio cars including the likes of concept A-Class, SLS GT3 and the DTM car.
Moreover, the company will also allow the participants to enroll for its upcoming driving academy, to which it will set-up in partnership with Jaypee Sports International by April.
In the month of November 2011, Mercedes Benz India Managed to sell a total of 6698 units of its cars in the Indian market as compared to 5,110 cars sold in the same month last year, registering a sales surge of 31 percent.
