Mercedes-Benz India opened the doors of its new showroom in Coimbatore, named Sundaram Motors Coimbatore. Reportedly, the new outlet of German auto maker has been strategically located on Mettupalayam Road, which happens to be one of the prominent locations of the city. The new showroom of Mercedes-Benz India is cutting edge 3S unit, which was jointly inaugurated by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz India, Eberhard Kern and Executive Director of Sundaram Motors, Sharath Vijayaraghavan.
Expressing his delight at the inaugural ceremony, Kern was quoted as saying, “We are excited to inaugurate our state-of-the-art 3S facility in Coimbatore which is an emerging market and look forward to provide our valued customers a fascinating experience of owning the Three Pointed Star. Coimbatore has seen a positive growth in demand for luxury cars and our customers will be delighted with a Mercedes-Benz dealership in their own city. With the inauguration of this dealership, we aim to reach out to more customers in the growing Tier II cities and give them an unparalleled luxury experience. He later said that 2013 is the ‘Year of Offensive’ for the brand with three pointed star in India. In this year, the auto maker is planning to introduce a number of fascinating models, which will prove to be quite lucrative for the company in India. Industry experts are of a view that the buyers in Coimbatore have penchant for luxury and performance cars. “We are only pleased to see our customer base increase in this market.
