The new 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift model is slated for a launch soon in the Indian as well as international market. The new Swift model has all the common features along with strong support of Maruti’s brand image and Swift’s own performance record. The 1.2L Dual VVT engine is mated with manual as well as automatic transmission. Its engine consumes just 4.16-litres per 100km on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 116g/km which is a 17 per cent improvement over the old 1.3-litre unit.
To begin with, the new Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with the K-series engine that has proven to give good performance and is one of the most fuel efficient engines. It has completely refurbished interiors with better quality plastics and re-designed dashboard. The front has a retractable screen, automatic climate control, Bluetooth and a USB support. It also features steering mounted controls and complete digital console.
The model will also be available with 1.3L diesel option with impressive fuel efficiency of 3.5L per 100 km. It is a 5-door model that comes with seating capacity of 4 people.
