Toyota has recently recalled millions of vehicles around the globe owing to problems in features installed. Moreover, Tata Nano has also been in the new recently for all the wrong reasons. Now two new separate incidents of Maruti cars - M800 and Maruti Wagon R, have been reported where the cars have caught fire and the drivers were charred to death.

In the first case, a driver in Outer Delhi was locked inside and died when the car caught fire. The driver was reclining on the seat inside the car with his air-conditioner on. According to the forensic reports, short-circuit in the car must have occurred in air-conditioner that blazed the car in fraction of seconds. The second incident occurred in West Delhi in Kanhaiya Nagar where the petrol tank caught fire and the owner was charred beyond recognition.

Maruti had earlier admitted that there was a fault fuel gasket in its A-Star model and had recalled its models to correct the problems. However, there have been no reports or announcements regarding the Wagon R or M800 models so far. The police and forensic experts are still looking for answers about the incidents.
