Mahindra & Mahindra, the leading SUV maker, has launched the XUV500 Xclusive Edition in the country. This edition is built on the top-spec W8 variant and is priced at Rs. 14.48 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Along with the features that are accessible in current top-end variant, the Xclusive edition gets a few more additions.
Since it will be a limited production model, only 700 units of the cars will be manufactured. The Xclusive Edition is equipped with features like a 6-inch touch screen Infotainment System with GPS, DVD, CD, MP3, FM, USB, iPod connectivity; driver information system and fully automatic temperature control with dual HVAC. Other features include projector headlamps with LED parking lights, multi-functional steering wheel with controls for cruise and audio, voice commands, tyretronic and reverse parking system.
Speaking on the launch of the XUV500 Xclusive Edition, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said, "We are pleased to introduce the 'XUV500 Xclusive Edition'. Being a customer centric organization, we have launched this model basis feedback we have been getting from our customers. The XUV500 Xclusive Edition will create a new benchmark in premiumness and exclusivity, to further enhance the XUV500's appeal amongst its customers and fans."
Under the bonnet is the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 140bhp and 330Nm of torque. The Xculsive Edition of the SUV gets an electric sunroof, grey alloy wheels, six-way electrically adjustable driver seat, anti-pinch driver window, etc. Talking about safety and security, the SUV has six airbags, ESP with rollover mitigation, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Control and Hill Descent Control.
