Following the launch of the Verito on 26th April 2011 by Mahindra, the company realised that things were not heading as intended for the new introduction. Thus, Mahindra did not waste much time as the news of its current plans to reintroduce the car as new generation Verito is out in the open. The revived model of Verito will be developed in-house by Mahindra and is expected to undergo changes at large scale in the form of all-new exteriors, interiors and dimensions.

If highly placed sources in Mahindra are to be believed, the company, after a period of time observed that the overall contour of the Verito was responsible for keeping the buyers at bay and subsequently dampening the sales figure of the car. The company, thus, has commenced operations to bring an all-new version of Verito that would include a sophisticated and classy design, finely finished edges and condensed dimensions.

As a result of the upcoming modifications, the new model may or may not be able to position itself in the small-car category of the Indian auto market. However, it is no way related to the Logan CS which has been in news for quite some time now. The interior of the car will be transformed completely, and it will have in its possession, some of the best features in its class. As a matter of fact, the price that Mahindra & Mahindra is mulling upon for the new car is expected to be less than the current Verito.

Powering the new Verito will be the same 1.5-litre diesel dCi engine, which is also a part of the current Verito, Nissan Micra, however, with the related aspects being different. Moreover, the power and torque generation of the engine seems to be similar to the current Verito.

Thus, the production process of the car is currently underway and the vehicle is expected to hit the dealerships by late 2012.
