As automakers in country enter into a mad rush to boost sales with the limited edition variants, Mahindra Two Wheelers has also joined the bandwagon by launching the Gusto Special Edition for Rs 49,350. The company has offered the special edition on the VX trim. The new variant does not get any major technical or functional upgrades, but instead gets interesting cosmetic upgrades.
The Mahindra Gusto Special Edition continues to be powered by 109.6cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder that generates about 8bhp at 7,500rpm. In terms of fresh upgrades, unlike the lower HX and DX variants that get dual tone color schemes, the new special edition based on VX gets new dual-paint schemes. The scooter has been a strong competitor against the likes of Hero Maestro, Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter in the country.
Additionally, Mahindra Two Wheelers as part of festive season is also offering free insurance with the scooter. In terms of cost, it commands a slight premium over the regular trim. The new trim is expected to lure interested customers more toward the scooter this festive season.
