Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), the completely owned division of US $15.4 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its dominant place in the Indian tractor industry during June 2012. During the period, the domestic sales of the company stood at 22493 units which marked a growth of 4.37 per cent, when evaluated against 21552 units which were reported in the corresponding period last year.
The cumulative tractor sales of the auto maker in June 2012, including domestic sales and exports, marked a growth of 4.55 per cent and amounted to 23765 units. In the year-ago same period, the sales of company stood at 22730 units. During the period, the exports of company went up by 7.98 per cent, amounting to 1272 units from 1178 units recorded in the same period last year.
