While the automakers are awaiting the festive season in the anticipation of high sales, Mahindra & Mahindra is spearheading to launch the much hyped compact SUV, Quanto and an electric car with Reva, NXR ahead of Diwali. The new compact SUV Quanto will be highly price competitive owing to its segmentation in the sub 4 metre category offering ample space, comfort and torrential performance while on the other hand, Reva NXR, a small and enticing electric car will offer a green solution for the nation and respite to buyers from the mounting fuel costs.
Recently, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Private Limited inaugurated a new eco-friendly oriented facility at Bangalore and is missioned to roll out 30,000 electric vehicles in the three years to come. However, in the first year, the new Reva NXR is anticipated to cross the sales mark of 6,000 units.
The automaker is also inducing the Central Government to incorporate green transportation options since the cost incurred in driving the Reva NXR can range up to a meagre 50 paisa per km. Reva NXR has been designed to be driven up to 160 kms at a stretch on a single charge and with the fabrication of state of the art Drive Technologies, the car is ready to take the electric car performance to a new dimension.
At the same time, the compact SUV Quanto marks its presence at the right time, when SUVs have caught the delight by major buyer segments in India, especially the affluent young generation. Mahindra Quanto is undoubtedly, the result of constant innovation combining sturdy appeal with high performance dynamics. Powered with 1.5L diesel engine, the Quanto will be rolled out in a price of Rs. 4.5 lakhs to Rs. 5.5 lakhs.
