Earlier, the auto major had silently sent notifications to some of its KTM 390 Duke owners to visit their nearest authorised service centres in order to change certain specific parts. The exercise that has been suggested for owners is related to the replacement of certain fan and rotor parts in the bike. This is being done to shoo away the over-heating issue that persists in what many owners emphasis as defected bikes. Having said that, now the recall of Ninja 300 performance bikes is also making for some hot news in the Indian automobile market. Similar to the KTM 390 Duke recall, the auto company has refrained from any public advertisements and is preferring case-basis approach instead.

Notably, notifications have been sent by dealerships to some of the Ninja 300 owners residing in Mumbai. They have been advised to visit the nearest centre for an ECU replacement exercise on their high performance motorcycle. In Navi Mumbai alone, about eleven Ninja 300 owners have been requested to visit the service station. According to dealerships, ECU replacement exercise takes only a little time and can be completed in just 5 minutes. As per the available information, it has been identified that ECUs of the affected bikes are more likely to malfunction due to a inherent improper setting. This malfunctioning could result in stalling of the bike at the time of de-acceleration.

The new Ninja 300 was launched earlier this year. It has replaced the last generation Ninja 250 in the country. The introduction of Ninja 300 has let many bike enthusiasts to make their dream of owning world class performance bikes turn into a reality. Biking aficionados in the country are showering accolades on such performance bikes.

Regarding features of Ninja 300, the company calls it as a dominating lightweight sportsbike built for performance. Various new features have been incorporated in this bike like 296 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine for providing more power and dominant acceleration as against other lightweight sportsbikes. This bike now comes with a new Digital Fuel Injection (DFI) system that uses a dual 32 mm throttle bodies for improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions when compared to Ninja 250. Sport enthusiasts now also get New F.C.C. clutch with assist and slipper functions for enhanced power handling capabilities.

Six-speed transmission has been slightly tweaked by incorporating a new roller-type shift drum in order to get smooth actuation and strong gears for enhancing the durability. The design of all-new Ninja 300 has also been tweaked and revamped to edge-out an aggressive and strong footed look. Frame is all new and uses tensile steel main tubes for superior feel and agility as compared to the previous year's Ninja 250.
