Jaguar Cars, the British subsidiary of the Indian auto giant Tata Motors stated on Wednesday that it will be showcasing the concept of its super sports car – Jaguar C-X16 at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. The car is expected to grab attentions of a large number of visitors and car enthusiasts at the show.
Powered by a 3.0L V6 engine, the Jaguar C-X16 concept gives indications of a powerful production version to be launched in future. The power packed engine of the car will be coupled with a supercharger to give an extra boost. According to Mr. Ian Callum, the car’s design director, the C-X16 model will be taking the award winning design language of existing Jaguar models to the next generation.
In a recent statement given to the reporters, Mr. Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar Cars Global Brand Director, said in a statement, "The C-X16 is our compelling vision for a 21st century Jaguar sports car. It embodies the established Jaguar strengths of sensual design, animal-like agility and inspirational performance and combines these with attributes that set us on a course to create sustainable sports cars of the future."
Jaguar along with luxury SUV (sports utility vehicle) maker Land Rover was acquired by Tata Motors during the economic downturn in year 2008 from Ford Motors
