      Indian market will not be impacted by the global recall of Micra hatchback: Nissan Motors

      Nissan Motors, the Japanese auto giant that had recently recalled 2.5 lakh units of its seven different global portfolio models worldwide, has said that the recall will not impact the cars sold in the Indian market.

      Although, the latest recall by the firm will be including as many as 9,600 Micra models exported to the European market after manufacturing these at the firm’s Chennai based plant. It is to be mentioned here that a major portion of the production at the Nissan Motors’ Chennai plant is exported to the foreign markets like Europe.

      While speaking to the reporters on the matter, a spokesperson of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) said, "Nissan has identified that fuel rail pressure sensor used in direct injection type engines of some of its models may have a problem. Therefore, Nissan has taken a proactive step to recall and replace the sensors on priority." He added that Nissan accords utmost care to its customers. This proactive step, without any financial burden to its customers, is a testimony of how much Nissan cares for customers' safety and security.

      The company had called back as many as 2,49,522 vehicles last week that comprises of a number of units of its seven different portfolio cars including Serena, Patrol, Infiniti M, Infiniti QX, Juke, Tiida and Micra.
