The Grand i10 from Korean auto-giant Hyundai is the freshest of the lot to be offered from the i10 production line in India. The popular hatchback has earned the country's highest automotive award in the most competitive and rapidly growing automobile Indian market. The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in Petrol as well as Diesel variant. The petrol version is stated to be powered by 1.2 litre Kappa2 engine that generates about 83Ps of power, whereas the diesel version is powered by 1.1 U2 diesel engine that generates about 71Ps of power. The petrol version is mated to optional five speed manual and four speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission. The 2nd generation CRDi technology in diesel offers improved operating pressure, low compression ratio, light weight engine block and an enhanced atomization of fuel. A combined effort from all these ensures more performance, more efficiency with lower running costs, lower NVH and lesser emissions.
The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in four trims namely - Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. The Era is a base version of this popular hatchback in the country. It gets an engine immobilizer, air conditioner and power steering as a standard feature. Apart from it, the hatchback is blessed with Low Fuel Warning, Tinted Glass, Gear Shift Indicator, Low Fuel Warning, Front Power Window and much more.
The Magna variant is loaded with slightly better features like central locking, keyless entry, fog lamps, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, power windows, rear air-con vents and many more interesting features. Major exterior designs are not present in this version.
The Sportz variant looks stylish on the exterior with the Roof Rails. This variant of i10 is loaded with features like tilt-adjustable steering wheel, Chrome Finish Gear Knob, music system with aux-in and USB connectivity, rear parking sensors, push button start, and a cooled glove box.
The Asta variant is a top end version with top end features that is up for grabs at a premium price. The top end version gets driver’s seat height adjust, rear windscreen wash/wipe function with a defogger, rear spoiler, steering-mounted audio controls, Bluetooth connectivity, alloy wheels, Adjustable Rear Seat Headrests and many more. The i10 Grand variants from Hyundai are offered at about a starting price tag of Rs. 4.50 lakhs to about Rs 6.50 lakhs for the top end version.
