The launch of all-new Fiesta took place among many tough rivals. Some of its competitors were present in the Indian auto market during the launch period; however, few have just participated in the race. Engine capabilities of new Ford Fiesta have helped it emerge victorious. Powershift automatic transmission system of the car is only available in the petrol version. World class features like hill launch assist, Ford grade assist, micro slip feature, and neutral coast down feature are also incorporated within the car.

One of the main competitors of Ford Fiesta AT is the Honda City, which is widely known as the king of sedan class. The powerful iVTEC engine of this car is counted among best engines in the terms of power and performance. As far as exterior and interior appearances of this car are concerned, they are also quite appealing. Although, the lack of diesel option disappoints few buyers, other world class features make it a special car. The engine has the potential to churn out impressive power of 116 bhp at 6600 rpm along with a peak torque at 146 Nm at 4800 rpm.

Another main competitor of Ford Fiesta is Volkswagen Vento that lies in the same segment. Due to the features and equipment of Vento, it has an edge over Ford Fiesta in many departments. The exterior design of Vento is quite attractive and it has a spacious interior which provides convenience to the occupants.

Along with this, the car has refined interiors, which reflects the design excellence of the car maker. Moreover, the automatic version of Vento is equipped with a 1.6 litre petrol engine, which has the displacement of 1598 cc. The maximum power generated by the engine of this car is 103 bhp at 5250 rpm and it churns peak torque of153 Nm at 3800 rpm.

On the other hand, the Fiesta offers a convenient on-road drive due to its powerful engine and effective suspension. The appealing interiors of Fiesta have enough potential to lure the youths, and thus grab a good market share.

Joining the league of competitors is the Hyundai Fluidic Verna, which is one of the recent entrants in the sedan segment of the Indian auto industry. With its high-end advancements, Verna is all set to give tough competition to Fiesta. Both of these cars are identical on some of the grounds, such as the experimental interior design and sporty exterior. It is packed with a 1.6 litre petrol engine, which has the displacement of 1591 cc. The maximum power produced by the engine of this car is 121 bhp at 6300 rpm and it has maximum torque of 155 Nm at 4200 rpm.

However, the newer version of Verna has turned out to be a better car for driving in city as it carries efficient suspension system along with effective power assisted steering wheel. On the other hand, Fiesta is counted among the best option for auto enthusiasts amongst these two, since this car is a perfect blend of impressive handling and ride quality.
