Fiat Punto, though a great car to own, did not gain its deserved popularity in the country. The Punto hatchback from Fiat is due to released in an upgraded version next month. The new Punto has been rechristened as Punto Evo. The upcoming Fiat Punto Evo shall be launched in seven trims in four variants namely - Active, Dynamic, Emotion and Sport.
The upcoming Fiat Punto shall be launched in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant is stated to be powered by 1.2 Liter and 1.4 Liter engine that generates about 67 Bhp of power with 96 Nm of torque and 90 Bhp of power with 115 Nm of torque respectively. The diesel version is expected to retain 1.3 Liter multi-jet engine that generates about 90 Ps of power. The 1.2 litre, 67 Bhp engine will power Active and Dynamic variants, whereas the Emotion trim will come packed with 1.4 litre, 90 Bhp engine. The changes this time around are purely cosmetic and no major technical upgrades are expected . Diesel range will be housed with Fiat’s renowned 1.3 litre Multijet engine producing varied power output of 75 Bhp and 90 Bhp. While Active, Dynamic and Emotion trims will be loaded with 75 Bhp diesel motor, Sport trim will be armed with 90 Bhp mill.
For the interiors, the hatchback shall receive all black color scheme will be seen in the high end version while rest of the trims will sport dual-tone color scheme. Safety features offered as standard provisions in new Evo Punto range include automatic door lock, central door locking, door open indicator, fire prevention system and Immobilizer with rolling code. Features exquisite to top end version comprise of prominent equipments such as Anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, dual airbags among others.
On the exterior the hatchback shall sport new designed headlamps, taillights and smart interiors. Fiat will offer new Punto in seven exterior color options- Glitternti Gold, Magnesio Grey, Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, Hip Hop Black, Vocal White and Tuscan Wine. The production version of Punto hatchbacks expects a bigger and smoother front and rear bumper that adds a smart external appeal to the car.
