      Factors that make Tata Aria a good buy in 2014

      The Aria SUV from Tata has been present in the country for quite a while now, but the sales for SUV never really kicked off due to typical Tata design and overpricing. The powerful SUV is set to make its presence felt this time around with a fresh face-lift for the Indian market. Mr. Ankush Arora – Senior Vice President (Commercial), Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd.,said,“At Tata Motors, the core philosophy behind the launch of every new vehicle is anticipating what our customers need and blending it with the best-in-class technology and design engineering. In–line with HORIZONEXT, we at Tata Motors have imbibed an aggressive four-pronged customer-focused strategy in the all-new Aria, giving our ever-discerning customers a vehicle that is more powerful, more fun, more reliable and extremely safe”.

      The new Aria is being offered in three variants - PURE LX, PLEASURE and PRIDE 4 x 4. The Aria SUV is powered by 2.2 litre VARICOR engine that generates a maximum power output of about 150 PS with torque figures of up to 320 Nm. The powerful engine is impressive with fuel figures and returns an impressive mileage of about 15.05 kmpl as per ARAI figures. The Indian car-maker has also given due importance to the safety factor by incubating features like ABS with EBD, ESP, Perimetric Alarm System, front passenger seat, driver‘s seat, side airbags and curtain airbags.

      In the interior the SUV gets new leather seats with beige upholstery, thereby rendering an upmarket feel to the fresh launch. The driver's seat is height adjustable and the steering is tilt adjustable. Comfort for the passenger is ensured with dual AC featuring Automatic Climate Control option and roof-mounted AC vents. On the exterior front, the Aria SUV sports new chic decals clear lens tail lamps, 17 inch alloy wheels and black bezel double barrel head lights.

      The new Aria is Aria is launched in the domestic market at an interesting price tag of Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). A three year warranty or 150,000 kms whichever comes first, is being offered by Tata for the new Varicor engine.
