There has been a lot of comparison made between Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Chevrolet Beat. The close resemblance in the mechanistic details of these cars and their popularity in the Indian market have paved the path for a healthy competition among these two hatches.

Chevrolet Beat has been quite an upbeat performer in the market. It comes equipped with a 1.0-litre SMARTECH engine, which produces a maximum power of 56.3 bhp and peak torque of 142.5 Nm. As for its interiors, Beat is replete with numerous comfort features. Arm rest (front row), rear and front power windows, rear seat headrest, power Steering and rear defogger are some of the features, which make it a popular choice for urban users. With all the aforementioned features, the petrol variant of Beat is priced at Rs. 6.3 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki WagonR features a 1.0-litre 12V K Series petrol engine, that churns out a highest power output of about 67.06 bhp with 90 Nm of peak torque. In order to transmit this output, a five-speed manual transmission system has been fitted in the car. When it comes to features, Maruti Suzuki has taken special care for ensuring satisfactory customer experience. Apart from the standard features, rear seat headrest, rear reading lamp and a vanity mirror has also been provided in the car. Power steering, adjustable steering column and an electronic multi-trip meter make the driving experience of this car superb. The standard VXI variant of WagonR (with ABS) comes at a price tag of Rs. 4.6 lakhs.
