      Bhopals addiction for superbikes intensify all the more

      Bhopal has a great penchant for motorbikes, especially superbikes, and this ever-growing passion sees no age. Ranging from youngsters to adults and even old people, the curiosity of bike riding has been accepted as an integral part of their lives, for a long time now.

      The city, which is best known for its lakes, is also home to the two-time national champion in bike racing. The two-time national champion Muzaffar Ali said that he loves bikes and is now planning to become a part of the international circuit. Moreover, the popular biking reality show MTV Stuntmania too had participants hailing from Bhopal. All these achievements act as ostentatious aspects and bring a sense of pride within Bhopalites.

      "While riding a superbike, one has to be careful as it can reach 100 kmph within seconds. But, then, that is the joy of riding them. Yes, initially, it needs training from professionals and one should wear the complete riding gear," Nura Khan, who has been riding superbikes for the past five years and a proud owner of the very powerful Suzuki Hayabusa, was quoted as saying.

      The 30-year-old possesses the Hayabusa GSX 1300 R which is capable of churning more power than the GSX 1000 R, which was used by gang members in the movie “Dhoom”. Khan added that while riding superbikes one should be more cautious as they carry immense power and speed. He said, "I ride the Hayabusa in the city during night hours and on highways. Otherwise, the crowds and condition of city roads are not conducive for such bikes.”

      Zeeshan Khan, who was a participant in MTV Stuntmania said, "A bike is a machine and it moves the way you want it to. I love my superbike and bike riding. If I am outside home, I miss my bike and when I return, even before meeting my family, I take my bike for a spin." The 20-year-old owns a Honda CBR 600.

      "Bike riding is not going to lessen in Bhopal. In fact, it will increase in the near future as motor sports is going to get a more prominent place in the Indian sports arena," automobile engineer Nabeel Bari said. Offering some tips to bike enthusiasts he said, "While riding superbikes, two things should be taken care of. One, its throttle, because of high BHP (brake horsepower), can pick amazing speeds. And, second, the handle of superbikes is longer than other bikes; so while turning, one has to be more cautious."

      These very admirable and attractive superbikes are available in the price range of Rs.7 lacs to Rs. 20 lacs. With giants like Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha gearing to offer all-new models in the country, bike enthusiasts will have ample of options to choose from.
