Both the Pulsar RS200 and the Pulsar NS200 are built around a perimeter frame. Under the skin is a 199cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DTS-i engine, which has been updated to meet BS IV emission norms. The Pulsar RS200 delivers 24.5bhp and 18.6Nm of torque, whereas the Pulsar NS200 is good for 23bhp and 18Nm of torque. Both are offered with a six-speed gearbox. While the Pulsar NS200 has to make do with a carburettor, the Pulsar RS200’s fuelling is taken care of by a closed-loop fuel-injection system. The Pulsar RS200 also benefits from an optional ABS system, which costs an additional Rs 12,000.

The Pulsar RS200 is available in two liveries – blue/white and black/grey. It rivals other small-capacity supersports bikes like the KTM RC200, Yamaha YZF-R15 and the Honda CBR150R. The Pulsar NS200 is offered in three paint schemes – black/grey, black/white and red/grey, and it competes with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Yamaha FZ25.
