      Auto Expo 2012: Ford all-set to ride high at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2012

      The visitors at the Auto Expo 2012 will see a range of exciting new cars by Ford India including the latest ‘global vehicle’ at its technologically advanced and interactive stand. Ford India will be exhibiting a total of 11 vehicles at the Auto Expo. The latest global vehicle will be the main highlight of the car maker’s line-up that will also include 3D theatre, live performances, and an interactive game for visitors during the showcasing. Through the global vehicle, Ford is set to build a strong platform for the purpose of expanding its Indian portfolio; the car which will be introduced in the country by 2015.

      An interactive LED screen will be set up at the Ford stand that will allow visitors to know more about the car. The global vehicle will drive through a virtual road and will reveal information, by using motion sensing cameras. Ford, with this creative aspect, hopes to engage the visitors in the best way.

      A Figo Theatre is also going to be a part of the stand, wherein visitors will be able to sit and watch a short movie on Figo’s smart technologies on a plasma screen. The Ford engineers will help the enthusiasts to manoeuvre a virtual vehicle in the 3D theatre. People can also get glimpse of the equipment used in Ford vehicles through a touch table that will display the latest green technology used by the car maker.

      It is expected that Ford will also proclaim the price range of its latest Fiesta automatic model that claims to offer 9 per cent improved fuel efficiency. Auto enthusiasts will also get to know about the exclusive safety features carried by Fiesta. Other models that are likely to be showcased at the Ford stall include Endeavour, Figo and Fiesta Classic.

      The estimated price range of the global vehicle is not yet known; however, Ford Fiesta automatic is expected to be available at around Rs. 10.20 lacs for petrol and Rs. 11.20 lacs for diesel. Ford Fiesta will be competing with models like Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and Skoda Rapid in the Indian automobile market.

      Hence, Ford is all geared up to amaze the audience through virtual games, latest models and an exciting 3D theatre and therefore, a huge crowd is expected to throng its stand at the Auto Expo.
