German auto giant Audi has finally launched its latest weaponry in sportscar battle, RS 7. Terming it as a super sportscars, the auto maker is all exuberant after the successful advent of its new creation. RS 7 is believed to be the most vigour car of Audi India and its performance figures adequately suffice this entitlement. Notably, the high performance 4-door car is the second model wearing RS moniker in India, apart from RS 6. Buckled in an aluminium body, Audi has offered a new toy to Indian buyers to play with. Industry experts are of a view that the newly launched RS 7 will provide an enthralling drive experience to Indian auto aficionados.
Audi RS 7 was first unveiled at the Detroit Motor show in 2013 and since then it has gathered innumerable applauds on global standards. International media agencies had peered into the launch of this hardcore super sportscar and after its arrival, a wave of euphoria has been generated worldwide. The dynamical looking car is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine that develops a mammoth 552 bhp with a peak torque of 760 Nm. Mated to an 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission, this car blisters the 0-100 kmph mark in a flip-of-the-eyelid 3.9 seconds. A top speed of 305 kmph can be attained if the car is given a straight track to roll on.
With such enormous statistics, one must not be fool themselves considering this mean machine as a fuel gulper. The advance technologies employed in this car help it return 15 per cent more fuel economy than its predecessor Audi RS 6. The Quattro four wheel drive system employed in this car makes it obliterate the roads. With maximum traction, Audi RS 7 provides a stable ride at high speed. All the more intriguing fact is that Audi has developed this car as a sedan equipped with modern features at interiors. The seat arrangement is commodious, a four-zone climatic control is provided along with three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifts, foldable rear sits and sun roof. Furthermore, finely stitched Valcona leather upholstery perfectly blends with luxurious features of highly advanced infotainment system, navigation system featuring voice control and superior quality BOSE speakers for an immaculate audio output. Also, LEDs have been lumped on the outer body for daytime running and heated water nozzles are equipped on windshield for foggy roads.
Such features can be availed at a steep pricing of Rs. 1.29 crore. Rivalling along will be the likes of its German contenders, namely BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. It must be noted that both these competitors have witnessed moderate achievements in the sportscar segment. It must be noted that the duo rivals have high performance engines under their hoods as against Audi RS 7 but somehow the latter is able to churn out an equal amount of power from its performance oriented mill. Such is the brilliance for which Audi is internationally renowned and has recently surpassed the other two companies to attain the top spot in sales of luxury cars in India. The auto maker has just crossed 10,000 unit mark and seems to be on an unstoppable rampage to astound domestic buyers with its creation.
