The Indian unit of the Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi launched two new cars in the Indian market on Wednesday including A7 Sportback and RS 5 Coupe. While the A7 Sportback carries a price tag of Rs.64-lakh onwards, the RS5 Coupe is priced at Rs.76 lakh.
Speaking to reporters at the occasion, Audi India Head Michael Perschke said, “The introduction of two new cars in India reiterates our unwavering commitment to offer the discerning Indian customer with products of highest technical perfection and design finesse.” He added that while the A7 sports coupe is targeted at individuals who seek the luxury of customisation, the new RS 5 will further help Audi consolidate its position in the sports car segment.
Earlier, the company was aiming to sell 4,500 cars in the country in year 2011, but now as its cars receive an overwhelming response in the country, it is eying to touch the sales mark of 5,000 units.
In the first four months of this year, Audi India has managed to sell 1,986 units of its cars in the country as against 967 units sold in the same period last year.
