The German luxury car maker, Audi, announced today to cut the prices of its products in India by up to Rs. 2.79 lakh. The luxury car maker made the announcement after government’s reduction in CENVAT that was announced last week.
The luxury sedan Audi A8 is cheaper by Rs. 2.79 lakh and will be available from Rs. 71,15,000 onwards. The Audi A6 is cheaper by Rs. 1.51 lakh and the new prices start from Rs. 38,18,000 onwards. The A4 sedan is cheaper by Rs. 1.21 lakh with its new prices starting from Rs. 28,54,000 onwards. Audi’s sports-utility vehicle Q7 is cheaper by Rs. 1.85 lakh and will be available from Rs. 52,40,000 onwards.
"We welcome this decision by the government of India. Audi believes in providing value to the customers and hence the entire four per cent reduction will be passed on to our customers," Audi India Managing Director Benoit Tiers said.
The company also has another model Audi TT in India and has recently launched its luxury sports model Audi R8 in India which is already sold out. It is available through twelve dealerships in India at Ahmedabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.
