      Aston Martin aims to sell 30 cars in India in first year

      Aston Martin, the new ultra luxury car brand in the Indian market, said on Tuesday that it hopes to sell 30 units of its cars in the Indian market over the period of 12 months. The company announced this while it company showcased its Rapide, Vantage S and DBS models in Chennai.

      Aston Martin has partnered with Performance Cars (a division of Infinity Cars) for the distribution of its cars in the country. The company has marked its first footprint in India with a dedicated facility in Mumbai.

      Speaking to the reporters in Chennai, Lalit Choudary, Managing Director, Performance Cars, said that partnering Aston Martin was a unique opportunity to bring one of the world's iconic brands to one of the world's most discerning and fast growing markets.

      The company has received bookings for more than 20 cars in India so far. Out of these, 14 cars have already been delivered to the customers. Mr. Choudary added that South India would be an important market for the company with Chennai emerging as a big market for these cars.

      The company has launched 8 models of Aston Martin in the country, in the price bracket of Rs 1.35 to Rs 20 crore.
