Ducati, the popular Italian company headquartered in Bologna, is known for its high performance products. The renowned two-wheeler manufacturer has been in the field of manufacturing and designing bikes ever since the time it was established in the 1920s. With the passage of time, the company graduated from making bikes to superbikes. Slowly, it has evolved as one of the leading two-wheeler brands in the world. Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale is among the highest ranked superbikes of this company. Be it a power-packed performance, ultra-modern technology or the supreme masculine looks; the Panigale is way ahead of its competitors. However, it seems that the manufacturers have pushed the limit further for themselves as well as for their competitors. It has now been confirmed that this superbike 1199 Panigale R will be replaced by an all-new motorcycle. It will be named as 1299 Panigale and might be introduced to the global fans of Ducati at the 2014 EICMA Show in Italy, which is scheduled this November. Though there has not been any official declaration from the brand itself, the world came to know about it just as a freak accident.
The entire Ducati dealership agency in Portland in Oregon was celebrating on the occasion of being declared the best dealership in the United States of America. Some of the people clicked a picture of them with the image of the 1299 Panigale in the background and posted it on a social media networking site. Though, the image was taken down soon, it was not before the thing had gone viral across the web world. Whether the leak of the image was an intentional one or just it came out as a fluke, it is not known. What is known is that the superbike 1299 Panigale is on its way out soon to take the customers into a tizzy.
It is expected that the size of the engine will be increased in the new offering. On the hand, the power output of the 1299 Panigale is expected to shoot past the 200 bhp mark. The 1199 Panigale had three variants, which were doing the rounds in the markets, the 1199 Panigale, the 1199 Panigale R and the 1199 Panigale 1199 S. While the 1199 Panigale and 1199 Panigale S will stay in the market alongside the brand new 1299 Panigale, it is expected that the R variant will be discontinued. There is no clear news on why this change happened in the Ducati think tank as the bikes were making good business till date. However, one important factor that might have led to the development of the new bike is the influence of new rules and regulations in the WSBK Championship. Some major aspects about the superbikes have to be altered and tuned to allow them to compete in the championship from the 2015 season. This might have been one of the reasons for the development of the 1299 Panigale. No matter what, the new bike is definitely going to be a winner just like the previous presentations from Ducati.
