Porsche has revealed the 2016 Macanin Malaysia and prices are slated to be comparable to the current prices. These range from RM 435,000 to RM 820,000 (Rs 72.30 lakh - Rs 1.36 crore) for the base Macan 2.0-litre, Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo.
In addition to the power increase for the base 2.0-litre version, Porsche’s 2016 Macan also has its equipment list updated and minor enhancements have been made to the exterior design too. The base version Macan uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that now makes 252bhp, and has seen an increase of 15bhp. Torque figures have also been hiked by 20Nm to 370Nm. There are no changes mechanically to the rest of the product range.
Porsche’s dynamic light system plus can now be bought as an option, and this function features static cornering lights and speed sensitive headlamp range control. There’s also Porsche’s communication management infotainment system which uses a new seven-inch touch screen to present info to the occupants. The interface smartly includes a proximity sensor, multi-touch gesture selection, WiFi hotspot and is also Apple CarPlay compatible. A 3D navigation system with real time traffic information can be used via voice commands.
Porsche India presently sells the Macan S diesel and the Macan Turbo in our market, and the 252bhp version could hit dealerships sometime later.
