General Motors India, today, launched the 2015 Chevrolet Captiva in the Indian car market. The SUV is available in both 4x2 manual and 4x4 automatic variants. The updated Captiva is priced in the range of Rs. 25. 13 lakh and Rs. 27.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). THough it largely remains unchanged, it gets new features and minor changes.
Under the bonnet is the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that powered the old model. It is capable of producing a top power output of 187bhp at 3,800rpm and a peak torque of 400Nm at 2000rpm. This engine is paired to either a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox.
The 2015 Chevrolet Captiva features new Cluster Ionizer which generates ions to purify and deodorize cabin interiors. Also on offer is the new instrument cluster, third row heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, rain sensing wipers, sunroof and jet-black interiors with leather upholstery. The exterior changes are minimal. It features the signature Chevrolet grille with a prominent Chevrolet bowtie. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 235/65 tyres.
