First launched in 2005, the Audi Q7 SUV has been one of top selling cars from the German maker. The second generation Q7 is likely to be significantly lighter than the previous model. Reports suggest that the vehicle losses around 363kg and it looks less bulky than its predecessor. Talking about changes, the SUV gets new front fascia that features a new ‘3D-effect SIngleframe’ grille accommodating four rings. The grille is flanked by all-new matrix LED headlamps as optional fare, and the new LED headlamps as standard. Inside the cabin, the SUV is likely to get an all-new four-spoke steering wheel, floating touchscreen display, large touch-pad, all digital instrumentation, etc.

The vehicle would carry the same, but slightly tuned versions of the six-and eight cylinder engines. It is also expected to get a new SQ7 variant which will get a twin-turbo V6 3.0-litre TDI motor with an electric turbocharger and a lithium-ion battery. This engine is capable of producing a top power output of 385bhp and a peak torque of 553 lb-ft.
