      2014 Honda CB Shine gets two new colors, launched at Rs. 51,383

      Japanese auto-giant Honda has always been known to deliver quality vehicles both in the four-wheeler and two-wheeler segments. Honda Shine has been a popular bike in the 125cc commuter bike segment in the country. Recently, Honda Shine, has also earned the title of being India's top selling 125cc motorcycle that has achieved the 30 Lakhs sales mark. Honda has now launched the 2014 edition of CB Shine in two new colors. The bike shall now sport new shade in Pearl Amazing White and dual tone shade of Red and Black. The colors are an addition to the already available shades of Black, Geny Grey Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic colours.

      Speaking more on the new bike Y.S. Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, "CB Shine is the largest selling 125cc motorcycle in India. Acknowledging the evolving customer needs, Honda has regularly reinvented the model. Maintaining crisp power with time trusted Honda technology, the new style sheet will further up the style quotient of CB Shine and reaffirm it’s as a true Winners’ Choice.”

      The Honda CB Shine is powered by 124cc air cooled engine is mated to a four speed gearbox. The decently powered engine generates about 10.12 Bhp of power at 7500 Rpm and 10.54 Nm of torque at about 5500 Rpm. Navigating the 120 kgs bike is easy and takes-on the Indian road with ease owing to hydraulic suspension for the rear and telescopic fork suspension for the front. Overall the bike sports a decent commuter bike appeal with smooth curves.

      Earlier this year when the CB Shine earned the title of being India's top selling 125cc motorbike, an official company statement reads, “Since becoming segment leader, Honda's CB Shine leadership over nearest competitor model has consistently grown from 9% in FY'2008-09 to 61% in 2013-14. In volume terms, sales gap with nearest competitor widened from 22,000 units to 2.81 lakh units in FY 1013-14, and today, every third 125cc motorcycle purchased in India is a CB Shine.” The Honda CB Shine is offered at a lucrative starting price tag of about Rs. Rs 51,383 (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The new shades are also offered at no additional cost, thereby providing with more color options to the buyers within the same budget.
