Toyota BZ4X

Model launch date:

The Toyota BZ4X is expected to be launched in India in mid-2024.

Feature list:

Exterior:

On the outside, the Toyota BZ4X will feature slim LED headlamps, sleeker lower grille, wide air dams, and chunky wheel arches. Then, the model will ride on 18-inch alloy wheels having a unique pattern.

Interior:

Inside, the cabin of the two-row electric car will come loaded with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, nine-speaker JBL-sourced music system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

Battery, powertrain, and specifications:

Mechanically, the Toyota BZ4X will get two battery pack options – a 71.4kWh and a 72.8kWh unit. The SUV will be available in rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations with a power output of 214bhp and 265Nm of peak torque.

Charging time and range:

With the 150kW DC fast charger, the Toyota BZ4X can be charged from 0-80 per cent in 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the SUV can deliver a claimed range of up to 405km.

Variants:

Internationally, the Toyota BZ4X will be available in two variants – G and Z.

Safety:

The Toyota BZ4X has not been tested yet for any safety ratings.

Competition:

Upon arrival, the Toyota BZ4X will compete against the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
