Porsche Taycan

Summary

The Porsche Taycan EV range was launched in India on 12 November 2021. Available in two body styles, the sedan and the estate car, the Taycan comes in seven trims. Besides, the estate (the Taycan Cross Turismo) gets additional ground clearance, a gravel mode and extra boot space over the Taycan sedan.

Exterior 
The Taycan is a unique electric sports sedan from Porsche and features typical Porsche elements such as the four-pointed DRLs, matrix LED headlights and rear lights with an LED bar reminiscent of the carmaker's other models. Apart from that, the four-door sedan has a coupe-style slanted roofline. And depending on the variant, they get various sizes of alloy wheels.

Interior 
Although the cockpit appears familiar, it is full of digital displays and capacitive touch switches. There is a 16.8-inch digital driver display, a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8.4-inch touchscreen control panel. Interestingly, Porsche also offers another touchscreen for the co-passenger as optional equipment. Besides, the interior is fully customisable.

Engine and transmission 
Porsche offers the Taycan in a choice of two battery packs - 79.2kWh and 93.4kWh. The batteries support AC and DC chargers from 11kW to up to 270kW (at 800 volt charging stations). Moreover, the range of the Taycan varies depending on the variant and the battery size.
