Crime is prevelant almost in every city across the globe but certain countries are considered to be severely hit by hit crime rate. India, a land of culture and beauty is known to attract tourists from across the globe, but though the crime rate is not too bad, it is often perceived as an unsafe place by many. To instill faith in iutsiders and prove India safe, Esha Gupta, an hardcore Indian biker had ventured out on a 6,000 kms bike ride. Gupta has travelled from Chennai to Kolkata to Delhi and has reached Mumbai via Lucknow.

Esha Gupta, 35 year old rider, has reached Mumbai the 16th city on her way to cover a total of 20 cities, yesterday. Her journey will last about 40 days that shall be loaded with experience from different parts of India. Speaking more about her journey, Gupta said, “It will be surreal when I complete my journey in a week more after travelling through so many cities on the national highways. Being a woman, driving through dark roads and meeting strangers was a little scary at times. But my experiences were quite interesting and I was surprised to see how hospitable people of our nation are to absolute strangers.” Initially people at Dhaba’s would be stunned to see a women rider but they would later make her feel comfortable.

For safety, Esha also carried a GPS device so that her location may be traced in case of an emergency. Before signing off to reporters, she said, “Fight your fears is what I believe. People speak about how unsafe the nation has turned. But I want to prove that they shouldn't pass such judgments without travelling.” Esha Gupta would be leaving the city tomorrow and ride to Bangalore via the Pune-Kolhapur-Hubli route.
