Japanese car manufacturer Honda has revealed the India-bound HR-V compact crossover. The 2018 model will be introduced with a host of updates.

Key cosmetic changes include a revised front fascia that adopts a prominent chrome bar extending the width of the front to echo the look of recent releases like the Civic and CR-V, revised LED headlights, and some new alloy wheel designs.

For international markets, the HR-V will get Honda Sensing active safety suite across the range – in Japan, at least. Along with that it will also get autonomous-emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist. Of course most of these won’t make it in India but nevertheless, expect the HR-V to be feature rich once it lands in India.

The HR-V is expected to get a 1.8 litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel, the same engines which will be powering the Civic and the CR-V and will GO up against the Hyundai Creta and the Jeep Compass once it is launched in 2019.
