The Wego scooter from Indian bike-maker TVS has been a popular pick in the 110cc automatic scooter segment. The Indian brand had recently launched the refreshingly new Wego loaded with fresh upgrades this time around. The face-lifted version was first witnessed at the February held Auto Expo event in Delhi. The newer Wego from TVS is launched in two variants namely - Standard TVS Wego that is priced at about Rs. 46,410, whereas the Disc version of Wego is priced at about Rs. 49,030. The face-lifted version is offered at almost a similar price tag as compared to the earlier version. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
The 2014 version of TVS Wego is stated to be powered by the existing line of 110 cc engine that generates about 8 bhp of power with 8 Nm of torque output. The engine has been re-tuned with a remapped ignition and higher compression ratio to ensure hassle free starts at all climatic conditions. As per company, the new engine is equipped with an improved, noise-free, all-aluminum, low-friction technology that delivers a fuel efficiency figure of about 62 kmpl.
On the exterior front, the scooter gets a Multi-reflector halogen headlamps and dual colored body design. The rear section is adorned by LED tail lamp with optical guides. For a comfortable ride, the Wego gets telescopic front suspension, whereas the rear wheel gets gas filled rear shock absorbers. The overall smart design has entitled the scooter to be a proud recipient of the prestigious India Design Mark (I Mark) by the India Design Council. Apart from styling aspect, the Wego is blessed with twelve-inch alloy wheels, fully digital console, stylish new muffler, tubeless tyres, parking brakes and TVS patented econometer.
